Pathways to MCC Program
If you didn’t finish high school but would like to get your New York State High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma, now you can – at the same time earning college credit. And you can do it for free through the Pathways to MCC Program.
The Pathways to MCC Program is an exciting option for people over the age of 16 to earn the HSE and college credit at no cost. This tuition-free program even covers textbooks and fees.
HOW THE PATHWAYS TO MCC PROGRAM WORKS
Through the Pathways to MCC Program, you can earn a New York State High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma by completing 24 college credits. You’ll have no out-of-pocket expenses for these 24 credits and after completing the program, you can apply those earned credits toward a MCC certificate or degree. Courses are available online and at MCC’s Brighton and Downtown campuses.
In addition to earning college credits and a high school diploma, you’ll receive the kind of wrap around support that can help you gain academic confidence and embark on a successful and productive future. This support includes services that offer free tutoring, a financial guidance program, one-on-one coaching/advisement, a laptop loaner program, RTS transportation, and assistance with other potential expenses.
