Writing Programs
Read&Write
Read&Write is text-to-speech software program to support with reading passages, documents, and online content. The program can also be used for writing support with the built-in spell check feature and dictation tool. Users can also turn spoken words into text.
You can download the software as an extension on Google Chrome, to your Windows PC or Mac computer.
To download the program for free, please refer to the directions below:
- Login to your MyMCC account
- Select the "Campus Resources" tile.
- Select the "Disability Services" tile.
- Select the "Downloading TextHelp Directions (Read&Write and Equatio)

Kurzweil 3000
The program allows users to customize their learning experience. Kurzweil 3000 provides Kurzewil 3000 provides reading, writing and study support. You can download Kurzweil 3000 on your personal computer by following the steps below:
- Login to your MyMCC account.
- Select the "Campus Resources" tile.
- Select the "Disability Services" tile.
- Select the "Downloading Kurzweil 3000 Directions".
- Follow the downloading instructions.
For MAC users, please refer to the Kurzweil 3000 website for the step-by-step downloading information and select the "Web License Edition Installation Guide". If you need assistance accessing the installation guide, please contatct Kurzweil Education Customer Support. You may also refer to the Kurzweil 3000 website to learn more about Kuzweil 3000 features for a MAC. If you are using Kurzweil 3000 on a MAC, it is advised to use Google Chrome.

How to Access Writing Programs on Campus Computers:
Current students can access Kurzweil 3000 on campus computers by following the steps below:
1. Login to a student computer.
2. Select the "Accessible Resources" folder on the desktop.
